A lightning storm in Commerce, Texas led to the cancellation of two scheduled softball games for the University of Rhode Island at the Lion Invitational on Saturday. The Rams were set to face Grambling State and Jackson State, but ongoing weather conditions forced organizers to call off both contests.

Officials confirmed that the storm is expected to persist into the night, making it impossible to reschedule or complete the games. As a result, neither game will be made up.

The team’s next matchup is against Missouri State, which is planned for Sunday at 12:15 p.m. EST. Fans can watch the game via live stream on LionAthletics.com.
