The Rhode Island Rams are set to face the Quinnipiac Bobcats on April 8 in a midweek baseball game, according to an announcement from the team. The game will take place at 3 p.m., with live statistics available for fans.
This matchup is the second and final meeting between Rhode Island and Quinnipiac during the 2026 season. The teams previously played on March 24 in Hamden, Connecticut, where Rhode Island secured a decisive victory.
In their last encounter, the Rams defeated Quinnipiac 17-5. Rhode Island’s offense produced twelve hits and took advantage of four errors by Quinnipiac. Derek Maceda led the way for the Rams by going three-for-six at bat, scoring once and collecting two runs batted in. Teammates Reece Moroney and Paul Calandrelli each contributed three RBIs during that game.
On the pitching side, six different players appeared for Rhode Island. Starter Connor Grotyohann pitched two innings and allowed just one hit. Will Creed and Sam Houchens both delivered scoreless innings without surrendering any hits.
