The Rams will travel to Sacred Heart for their next doubleheader after facing New Haven. Rhode Island leads that series as well, with seven wins to four losses. It has been ten years since their last meeting; Rhode Island previously defeated Sacred Heart at the Liberty Softball Classic in 2016.
Sophomore pitcher Brooke Gerry has shown improvement recently by lowering her earned-run average from 4.13 to 3.76 over her last seven outings while recording thirty strikeouts during that span. Freshman Brooke Fairbanks returned from injury to contribute significantly, including hitting her first career home run and leading the team with a .422 batting average through nineteen games.
