Cost of college went up for all students at Roger Williams University

Tuition and fees rose 3.6 percent for 2018-19 at Roger Williams University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Rhode Island students paid $34,522 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,186 more than the $33,336 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 1,118 students received grants or scholarships totaling $16.9 million and 801 students took out student loans totaling more than $10.1 million.

Including all undergraduates (4,860), 3,809 students used grants or scholarships totaling $60.2 million, and 2,483 students took out $17.1 million in federal student loans.
