Newport County Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
Salve Regina University professor Missy Varao, from left, Courtney Hunter and Erin Donovan-Boyle, executive director of the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce, during the 2022 Women of Distinction awards ceremony March 23 at Rosecliff in Newport. Hunter, a Jamestown resident and marketing manager for People’s Credit Union, was one of four women honored by the chamber for “impressive traits and accomplishments deserving of recognition, including community involvement, industry impact and professional success.” “I am honored to have been considered and selected as part of this year’s Women of Distinction awards,” Hunter said. “I have great respect for past recipients and really looked to them as role models. I am humbled to be now part of the special group.” Varao was guest speaker.
