Women’s Swimming & Diving Athletes of the Week: November 14, 2022

Swimmer of the Week Kylie Young (Winchendon, Mass.) - Junior - Keene StateYoung was named the LEC Swimmer of the Week after she won the 200 IM (2:14.41) in a double dual meet versus Springfield and Wheaton, which was a full second-and-a-half over the second place finisher. She was second in the 100 backstroke (1:01.69) and took third in the 200 backstroke (2:09.69). Rookie Swimmer of the Week Liv Harkins, Westfield StateHarkins was named the LEC Rookie Swimmer of the Week after topping the field in the 50 backstroke (30.23) and 200 IM (2:27.39) in a dual meet against Mt. Holyoke. Westfield State won the meet opening 200 medley relay (1:58.93), which was led off by Harkins. Diver of the Week Alexa Wilson (Centerville, Mass.) - Graduate Student - Bridgewater StateWilson was named the LEC Diver of the Week after she captured top honors on the one-meter board with a score of 231.4 points in the Bears' dual meet setback to Roger Williams University. She placed second on the three-meter plank with 196.8 points. Rookie Diver of the Week Cailey Simard (Haverhill, Mass.) - Freshman - Bridgewater StateSimard was named the LEC Rookie of the Week after she captured top honors on the three-meter board with a score of 232.2 points in the Bears' dual meet setback to Roger Williams University. She was runner-up on the one-meter plank with 220.1 points.
