5.9% of Washington County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Washington County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 4,232 people out of the 129,735 living in Washington County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Washington County has remained fairly stable compared to the 5.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Washington County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 6%.
