Bryant hosts Charleston Southern on Homecoming

The Bryant University football team welcomes Charleston Southern on Homecoming Weekend. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday will also mark Bryant's first home Big South game.

Series History

  • Bryant and Charleston Southern will be meeting for the first time in program history.    
Bulldogs Notes and Notables

  • Bryant enters the week at 2-4 overall following a 56-10 victory over Southern Connecticut last Saturday. The Bulldogs return to Big South play this weekend. 
  • The Bulldogs are coming off an offensive explosion that saw them put up 623 yards of total offense. That mark is the second-most in a single game in program history.
  • Zevi Eckhaus threw for 310 yards and four touchdowns last week. It marked his sixth career 300-yard passing game, while the four touchdowns matched a career high.
  • Ryan Clark rushed for a pair of touchdowns and now leads the Big South with six on the year.
  • Gary Cooper finished with two touchdown receptions last week, the first two of his career. 
  • Anthony Frederick moved into ninth place all-time with 1,305 career receiving yards. He posted his second 100-yard receiving game last week.
  • Joe Andreessen became the 14th player in program history to reach 200 career tackles. He now has 202 career tackles.  
A bit about the Buccaneers

  • Charleston Southern comes to Smithfield with an 0-5 overall record and an 0-1 mark in the Big South. 
  • The Buccaneers fell to Campbell, 34-28, last Saturday.
  • CSU is averaging 21.0 ppg but are allowing 41.0 ppg.
  • Seth Anderson and Vinson Davis each have four TD receptions on the season.
