South Kingstown Town - RI: Elderly Homeowner Tax Credit Program Now Available

Applications for tax exemption on real property for persons 65 years of age and older are now being accepted for tax year 2023. Application forms have been mailed to each person who qualified for the exemption in 2022.

To qualify:

1) You or your spouse must be 65 years of age or older as of 12/31/22

2) You must be a full or partial owner of the premises you occupy and have owned and occupied property in South Kingstown for the last 5 years

3) Your total gross household income must not exceed $45,197

4) You must be legally domiciled in South Kingstown

You may obtain applications and/or a copy of the ordinance by calling the Assessor’s Office at (401) 789-9331, extensions 1220, 1221, 1222 or 1229.
